Splitsville For David Duchovny and Téa Leoni

After actor David Duchovny's stint in a sex rehab for sex addition (is there such a thing?), it seems that actress Téa Leoni and Duchovny have split up.

11 years, 2 children and it is being reported by The Daily Mail that it wasn't Duchovny's sexual problems that were the cause of the relationship's demise, nope... it seems Leoni is involved with Billy Bob Thornton, actor and musician who has been married previously 5 times, one of which was to Angelina Jolie.

It was not his 'sexual compulsion proclivity' that caused the break-down of their marriage, but rather his discovery of explicit text messages on her mobile phone sent by actor Billy Bob Thornton.

Through the texts Duchovny found out she had begun a relationship with Oscar-winning actor Billy Bob Thornton, 53, who was formerly married to Angelina Jolie.

She didn't have the brains to delete the texts?

In a statement from Leoni and Duchovny, the couple explains they have been separated for months:

"In light of continuous speculation over the lives and marriage of Tea Leoni and David Duchovny, the couple has confirmed that they have in fact been separated for several months," according to the statement. "The couple had hoped to keep this separation private for the sake of their children."

People Magazine reports:

The actor voluntarily entered rehab last summer "for the treatment of sex addiction," he said in a statement issued in August.

Earlier this month, Duchnovny had "successfully completed the rehab program," his lawyer said. Duchovny was then spotted with Leoni at the Czech Street Festival in Manhattan.

Ok, now that we have reported the split, lets get back to this sex addiction thing... what?

If they are doing it right, shouldn't it be addictive? What exactly is wrong with being addicted to sex? Better than heroine or coke isn't it?

What exactly is the problem that would have Leoni tell him to get help?

When Duchnovny went into sex rehab, according to Fox News, it wasn't because of some affair caused by his "sex addiction", so what was he doing? Watching porn? Jerking off? Did he have kinky proclivities that Leoni couldn't handle?

What exactly was the problem?

Word is the couple split before his stint in rehab and waited until he successfully completed it before announcing the breakup.

Will we hear the dirty details in the divorce or will they amicably handle this matter without us finding out exactly what the "sex" problem entailed?

Things that make me go hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
