According to Jeff Raymond, Cruise's publicist/agent, Tom Cruise is alive and well, despite Internet rumors saying he fell to his death in New Zealand.

Tom Cruise is alive and well, his agent said on Thursday, denying Internet reports that the actor had fallen to his death in New Zealand.
"This is completely not true. Tom is not in New Zealand nor has he been there recently. This is erroneous and unreliable Internet garbage," Cruise publicist Jeff Raymond told Reuters.
The Sun says this isn't the first time a false report about a celebrity has been made about that same cliff in New Zealand, when two years ago, Tom Hanks supposedly fell off the same one.
