After a spate of secret dates, the cat's now out of the bag for Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer, as NW exclusively reveals the reason behind their surprise reunion — the actress is pregnant with his child!

The pair made their first outings as a reunited couple last week, enjoying a romantic weekend in New York and a concert in Boston. But while friends are scratching their heads about what made Jen take the playboy musician back, the smile the actress has been wearing says it all — she's pregnant and loving it!

So, is Jen finally gonna be a mommy? Is that really a baby bump? How about Mayer? Didn't they break up originally because she was ready and he wasn't?

US Magazine reports Aniston and Mayer met up on Friday in Boston and attended a Ray LaMontagne concert and then the couple took off for New York City to spend the weekend together.

A source confirmed to Us after their break up that she wanted a bigger commitment from Mayer - and a baby.

"These are mature people who talk about things maturely," the pal said. "It's just slowed down."

Another source countered: "If she said she wants kids and he's not ready, that's not being needy. It's being honest."

Star's gossip claims John was persistent and his determination paid off as they describe other more intimate meetings between Aniston and Mayer.

After sending a barrage of romantic email, John's persistence has paid off. The actress jetted to New York, where the pair fanned the flames of their renewed romance with intimate sushi dinners at John's Soho apartment and a very cozy Italian feast at Manhattan's chic Il Mulino restaurant.

"At first Jennifer was afraid to respond to John's messages because she was afraid he'd break her heart again," says an insider. "The emails were especially poetic -- like love songs. He said he'd never stop loving her and he's been very, very persuasive."

Word is Aniston has put her plans to have a baby on hold, but looking at the two together, they would make some pretty babies!!!
